One of the main staple food used in the Garifuna culture in Belize is the cassava. It is a starchy tuber known as yucca that is used mostly in the southern part of the country near beautiful Belize home rentals . Carrot is a root vegetable that is usually orange in color due to its high content of carotene and is cultivated on farms some which are listed under Belize rental property for sale. Bread fruit or masa pan as known in Spanish is one of Belizehuge tropical fruiting tree that grow throughout Belize property. It is related to the other tropical fruits such as jackfruit, breadnut, figs, and mulberries. The very large evergreen tree has large thick leaves that look feathery like and gives of milky-white sap which is produced on all parts of the tree. The fruit varies in color, size, and shape with smooth, off-white to cream color flesh and spikes like peel.
